Building Systems Specialist

BGIS, a global leader in facility management and real estate services, is seeking a skilled Shift Leader to oversee building systems operations.

We manage over 320 million square feet of client portfolios across multiple continents. Our commitment to innovation and diversity drives our success.

Your Role:

  • Maintain optimal environmental conditions for critical building systems, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Supervise shift operations, coordinating scheduled maintenance tasks and responding effectively to reactive issues.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of HVAC, UPS, generators, low voltage (LV) systems, and fault-finding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical (M&E) plant equipment according to established schedules.
  • Complete reactive repairs promptly and suggest improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Manage external contractors effectively, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project specifications.
  • Implement and maintain a Permit to Work System, upholding strict safety standards for all operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, paperwork, and safety procedures.

Reporting & Collaboration:

You will report directly to the Contract Supervisor or Technical Manager. Collaboration with your team is essential for achieving operational excellence.
