Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct innovative research and devise sophisticated solutions for challenges in seismic processing and imaging.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to foster knowledge exchange and contribute to various projects.
  • Architect complex geophysical software with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Develop, test, and sustain software solutions effectively.
  • Oversee and enhance software created by team members.
  • Engage in writing technical papers and participate in the peer-review process.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and present findings.
  • Provide assistance to internal users within the organization.
  • Manage special projects and additional tasks as required.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Physics, Geophysics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Proven experience in seismic processing and imaging methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of computational physics, finite difference methods, and inverse problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Excellent object-oriented programming capabilities, especially in Python.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing concepts, including MPI and GPU, is advantageous.
  • A collaborative mindset with exceptional communication skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for innovation and creative thinking.
