Your Responsibilities

The Senior Project Operations Manager is accountable for executing projects in alignment with the defined scope, quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. They possess the ultimate decision-making authority for projects valued up to 1 Billion Euros.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining an appropriate on-site presence as necessary for the project.
  • Acting as the primary representative for the project, engaging with clients, Uniper management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Promoting a robust Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) culture in line with Uniper's standards.
  • Facilitating Project Committee meetings, providing reports, and aiding in decision-making processes.
  • Establishing and upholding the vision, mission, and objectives of the project team to meet targets.
  • Ensuring the effective application of the Project Management Framework and Uniper's quality and HSSE management systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the project, including scope, business case, quality, technical requirements, timelines, staffing, and HSSE compliance.
  • Collaborating with the line organization for staffing and resource procurement.
  • Building a motivated, high-performing cross-functional team supported by clear communication.
  • Enhancing team performance and fostering motivation through effective leadership.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Coordinating incident and crisis management in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Assisting in securing necessary approvals and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Managing project modifications that impact scope, budget, or timelines.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing and documentation of lessons learned throughout the project.
  • Ensuring successful project completion, including handover and final reporting.
Your Profile
  • A university degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project management within the energy sector, particularly in power or gas utilities, EPC contractors, or similar organizations.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects as a Senior Project Operations Manager.
  • International experience with a background in various regulatory environments.
  • Ability to drive cultural transformation in international project teams.
  • Strong customer orientation combined with assertiveness.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in guiding multi-national teams.
  • Proficient in executive-level relationship management and networking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen.
