Day Rate: £575pd - £625pd Inside IR35

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 12-Months (Full-time)

About the Role:

ea Change is in search of a proficient and dedicated Solutions Architect for a fully remote contract role spanning 12 months. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in significant financial projects within a vibrant and fast-evolving environment. If you possess a passion for developing comprehensive technical designs and excel in navigating scenarios with limited information, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Business and Technology teams to ensure effective evaluation of design alternatives and provide sound recommendations.
  • Oversee project delivery governance in alignment with agreed designs and assess the implications of change requests on the overarching design.
  • Facilitate design forums and workshops with developers, operational teams, and business stakeholders, often including third-party vendors.
  • Disseminate designs for approval and present them at formal review sessions.
  • Conduct peer reviews of designs generated by colleagues.
  • Engage in technical communities to bolster and refine ea Change's software development policies and standards.
  • Provide Solution Design estimates to inform Business Cases.
  • Participate in internal enhancement initiatives to elevate the overall capability of the Solutions Design function.
  • Work alongside Lead Solution Architects and other architects within the Solutions Architecture domain to support business projects.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with a variety of technologies, including Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud, and Data Streaming.
  • Expertise in solution architecture.
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of design governance principles.
  • Ability to collaborate with both Business and Technology stakeholders to establish credibility in addressing business challenges.
  • Proficient in managing and resolving design-related risks and issues.
  • Capable of influencing and challenging at senior levels to achieve optimal outcomes.

Desirable Skills:

  • Support planning efforts to drive scope, delivery shape, and schedule, alongside design.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with other Change and Technology professionals.
  • Familiarity with sectors such as Financial Fraud and AML, Debit & Credit Cards, ATM & POS, Payments, Core Banking Processing, and Treasury Systems.
