About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Better Health Assistant at West View Leisure Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the delivery of our health and fitness programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to members and customers, responding to their queries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Support the delivery of health and fitness programs, including inductions, classes, and activities.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are well-maintained.
  • Assist with the management of membership sales, including processing payments and answering membership-related queries.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the health and fitness industry.

Requirements

  • 5 GCSE grades A-C / grade 4 and above (or equivalent qualification) including Maths and English.
  • Be a confident swimmer able to swim 50 metres in under 50 seconds.
  • The confidence and ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and lead by example.
  • You will be passionate about the benefits of physical activity and want to grow your career in the leisure industry.
  • A keen interest in health and fitness and ideally be a regular participant in physical activity or with knowledge or experience in sports coaching / activity sessions.
