Job Title: Better Health Assistant

West View Leisure Centre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Better Health Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in the Health and Fitness industry with a unique career pathway and opportunities for professional development.

About the Role:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to members and customers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, providing a high level of service in a variety of roles, including Concierge and Lifeguard
  • Develop skills and qualifications in Fitness Instruction and other specialist areas
  • Contribute to the success of the leisure centre, working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer experiences
About the Career Pathway:
  • Initial training in Concierge and Lifeguard roles, providing a solid foundation for the Better Health Assistant role
  • Opportunity to complete Fitness Instructor qualification and work on the gym floor and in the studio
  • Further qualifications and training in specialist areas, such as Swimming Teaching or Centre Management
About the Leisure Centre:

Our leisure centre is a vibrant and dynamic facility, offering a range of activities and services to the local community. Our 70-station fitness gym, dedicated dance and spin studios, soft play, 3G pitches, 25m pool, steam/sauna, and café make us a popular destination for people of all ages.

About the Team:

Our team is passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences and is committed to helping our members and customers achieve their health and fitness goals. We are a diverse and inclusive team, with a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Requirements:
  • 5 GCSE grades A-C / grade 4 and above (or equivalent qualification) including Maths and English
  • Confident swimmer able to swim 50 metres in under 50 seconds
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead by example
  • Passion for health and fitness and a desire to grow a career in the leisure industry
