Care and Support Assistant – Field-Based Role

Location: North Bristol Area

Are you a dedicated individual with a passion for enhancing the lives of older adults? As a Care and Support Assistant with McCarthy Stone, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our residents across various Retirement Living developments in North Bristol.

Role Overview: In this position, you will deliver tailored care and domestic assistance to our residents, empowering them to maintain their independence and enjoy their retirement years. This field-based role involves traveling between multiple locations in the North Bristol area, with all travel expenses reimbursed. You will collaborate closely with the Field Care Supervisor to ensure the delivery of exceptional care services, which include personal care, household support, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Support: Offer personalized assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and medication management. Provide domestic help, including cleaning, shopping, and overseeing household responsibilities. Housekeeping Duties: Ensure communal areas within our developments are maintained to a high standard, creating a clean, tidy, and inviting environment for all residents. Social Engagement: Facilitate social activities, transportation arrangements, and appointment attendance for residents, promoting their overall well-being and social interactions.

Candidate Profile:

Skills & Experience: Strong interpersonal abilities, empathy, and effective time management skills are essential. Previous experience in a care setting is advantageous, along with a solid understanding of adult safeguarding and care regulations. Driving License: A valid UK driving license is necessary for this field-based role, along with a readiness to travel between various developments in North Bristol. Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, late shifts, and alternate weekends, as well as the ability to take on additional shifts to meet on-call needs.
