About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our fast-paced Catering team at Taunton School. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and providing excellent support to our catering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen, including equipment and utensils.
  • Support the catering team with food preparation, service, and presentation.
  • Ensure that all food deliveries are unloaded and stored safely and efficiently.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet the needs of our students and staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an operational catering position is desirable, but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
