Position Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Hunter Savage. This pivotal role is integral to our Site Leadership Team and is focused on enhancing our manufacturing processes while managing various categories of materials.

Location: County L/Derry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the replenishment of essential materials, including raw materials, packaging, and consumables, to align with production timelines within a global logistics framework.
  • Ensure compliance with a structured Financial Month End schedule, emphasizing ongoing enhancements.
  • Identify potential risks associated with supply chain continuity and market fluctuations.
  • Oversee and refine the 100-day production strategy to align with anticipated demand, driving measurable improvements.
  • Facilitate seamless product movement to the Central Warehouse and distribution centers across Europe.
  • Maintain adherence to daily shipment protocols to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Manage supplier relationships and lead investigations into quality issues related to material supply.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sourcing, and R&D teams to explore alternative supply options and new materials.
  • Enhance systems and processes for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) automation.
  • Oversee expenditure and the Purchase to Pay cycle, establishing delivery expectations for site services.
  • Ensure integration across Logistics, Procurement, Legal, R&D, Technical, Finance, Sales/Marketing, HR, and Operations.
  • Act as the scope owner for Logistics, Warehouse, and various contracted services.
  • Lead the Site Business Support Team, providing mentorship and development opportunities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in a similar capacity (e.g., Supply Chain Leader).
  • Experience with Integrated ERP systems in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in manual capacity versus demand planning and material replenishment.
  • Strong skills in budget formulation and management.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Commercially savvy with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills at senior management levels.
  • Strong influencing capabilities across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives to enhance company performance in alignment with strategic goals.
