About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team at Oldham Council. As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of children and young people in our borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations to support children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement interventions to promote positive behavior and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other professionals on topics related to child development and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to special educational needs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
