Job Title: Typhoon Systems Support Engineer
Location: RAF Coningsby
Salary / Rate: £35.00 PAYE / £48.81 Umbrella Inside IR35
Duration: 5 Months
Working Arrangements: Monday - Friday – 37 hours - onsite

Candidate Requirements
  • A minimum of a recognized qualification at NVQ3/ONC level in a relevant technical discipline, Part 66 Category A qualification, or an equivalent.
  • Recent, extensive experience in a Maintenance & Support environment for military aircraft.
  • Ability to convert data into actionable insights and establish cost-effective, airworthy solutions that enhance the operational readiness of the UK Typhoon fleet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within the organization, customer base, and supplier network, alongside excellent communication skills to effectively share knowledge and persuade others to take necessary actions to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, develop, and deliver technical solutions to address and rectify defects and damages to recognized standards.
  • Draft, develop, and issue airworthiness instructions on behalf of an authorized DE&S Engineering Authority or Mil CAM, ensuring that any issues are identified and appropriately escalated.
  • Analyze trends and recommend updates to the Operator Maintenance Programme.
  • Collaborate with Design Organizations, OEMs, Maintenance Tasking & Verification teams, Part 145 organizations, Reliability & Maintenance Programmes, and other key stakeholders to meet the required standards for Continuing Airworthiness and contract delivery.
  • Review and report on the effectiveness of Technical Enquiry management, providing feedback to Design Organizations and Suppliers across all maintenance locations, ensuring any trends are identified and escalated as necessary.
