Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Avionics Maintenance Support Engineer to enhance our team within the Typhoon Maintenance Unit. This role is pivotal in providing assistance to maintenance engineers on the shop floor by diagnosing maintenance issues, offering general maintenance support, and contributing to the development and enhancement of the IMS JIC library. Occasional project support may be required as directed by senior personnel.


Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting maintenance engineers in evaluating and resolving maintenance faults.
  • Providing ongoing maintenance support and ensuring the effectiveness of the IMS JIC library.
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior management.

Work Environment:

This position is based on-site and requires flexibility to work in shifts, including both day and night schedules.


Leadership and Support:

This role does not entail supervisory duties but may involve mentoring an apprentice once the candidate has gained sufficient experience.


Financial Accountability:

While there are no direct budget responsibilities, the role will include training on the correct tagging of emergent work faults, which must be strictly followed.


Required Skills and Experience:
  • Essential experience in Typhoon Avionics depth maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using IMS Maintenix is required.
  • Experience with Trilogiview is necessary.
  • Evaluating emergent work faults in Typhoon maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Completion of the Typhoon Avionics Q course is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ESS, Resolve, and WDMS toolsets is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
