If you are a confident individual who enjoys meeting new people and is passionate about providing enriching activities for those affected by dementia, we encourage you to apply.

Our groups offer a warm and supportive environment where individuals living with dementia can engage in stimulating activities, connect with others, and access valuable support and information.

As a Support Group Facilitator Volunteer, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our groups. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and leading engaging activities.
  • Warmly welcoming participants to the group.
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance.
  • Assisting with setting up and tidying up after each session.
  • Encouraging active participation in the offered activities.

You will collaborate as part of a dedicated team, and there may be opportunities to independently facilitate group sessions as needed.

Important Note: This role requires a satisfactory Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland). If you require further information regarding Criminal Records Checks, please do not hesitate to ask.
