We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Surgical Care Practitioner to join our esteemed private healthcare organization located in a vibrant hospital setting.
This role is ideal for a skilled ODP / Theatre Nurse seeking to be part of a progressive and reputable private facility.The hospital provides a diverse array of services, including orthopaedic surgeries, aesthetic procedures, and various other medical specialties. Despite being a compact team, they foster a strong sense of community and prioritize exceptional patient care.
Role Overview:
As a Surgical Care Practitioner, you will collaborate with the theatre team to:
- Deliver outstanding planned care for patients in the perioperative environment and assist in managing and organizing care within the surgical team across multiple clinical specialties.
- Assess patients' needs and associated risks, ensuring clear communication and agreement on responsibilities.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate care to enhance patients' health and wellbeing, adhering to established policies and procedures for optimal clinical outcomes.
- Maintain effective verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues, prioritizing customer service excellence.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Conduct elective day case surgeries.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for the Surgical Care Practitioner role, applicants must possess:
- Valid NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
- A minimum of one year of UK experience in a theatre setting.
- Experience in an acute hospital environment and familiarity with theatre operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
