We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner / Theatre Nurse to join our team at Appoint Healthcare. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide planned care for patients within the perioperative department
- Assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the theatre team
- Discuss, agree and explain the responsibilities for the assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
- Plan, deliver and evaluate care to meet patients' health and wellbeing, keeping within policies and procedures for the highest quality clinical outcomes
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues, with customer service standards front of mind
- Work well independently and within a team
- Carry out elective day case surgeries
- NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- At least 1 year's UK experience working in theatre
- Acute hospital experience and working within theatre
- Experience working in a busy environment under minimal supervision
