About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner / Theatre Nurse to join our team at Appoint Healthcare. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide planned care for patients within the perioperative department
  • Assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the theatre team
  • Discuss, agree and explain the responsibilities for the assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate care to meet patients' health and wellbeing, keeping within policies and procedures for the highest quality clinical outcomes
  • Effective verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues, with customer service standards front of mind
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Carry out elective day case surgeries
Requirements
  • NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 1 year's UK experience working in theatre
  • Acute hospital experience and working within theatre
  • Experience working in a busy environment under minimal supervision
