Join Our Team as a General Practitioner
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate General Practitioner to become a vital part of our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting patient consultations through various mediums including in-person visits, video calls, and telephone consultations.
- Managing repeat prescriptions and addressing patient queries effectively.
- Reviewing and acting upon patient medical test results in a timely manner.
- Completing necessary medical reports and examinations as required.
- Providing emergency care as needed within the practice.
- Collaborating with fellow clinicians to support patient care and resolve queries.
- Making independent, professional decisions regarding patient health issues.
- Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with complex and undiagnosed conditions.
- Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Managing chronic conditions and developing tailored care plans.
- Participating in audits to evaluate patient care and outcomes.
- Prescribing medications in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Utilizing IT systems effectively to manage patient data.
- Ensuring a respectful and empathetic approach to patient interactions.
The General Practitioner will strive to uphold the highest standards of quality within the practice by:
- Identifying and addressing quality and risk issues.
- Taking responsibility for personal performance and actions.
- Contributing to team effectiveness through reflection and improvement suggestions.
- Collaborating with external agencies to meet patient needs.
- Managing time and resources efficiently.

- Providing a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
Strong communication skills are essential, and the post-holder will:
- Engage effectively with team members and patients.
- Adapt communication methods to meet diverse needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- GP Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the GMC and a recognized performers list.
- Experience in primary care, particularly in diverse and underserved communities.
