We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Hazlitt's Hotels. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, ensuring that all daily proactive and reactive maintenance tasks and repairs are carried out in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our properties.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on hotel bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, meeting rooms, garden, exteriors, and back-of-house areas.
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with hotel operating procedures.
- Work with the Group Maintenance Manager to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise and mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Deputise for the Group Maintenance Manager in their absence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrics, and general repairs.
- Competency in painting and decorating.
- Ability to maintain maintenance records and monitor PPM schedules.
- Experience working with electrical installations and ability to demonstrate safe working practices.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
- Knowledge of period fixtures and fittings.
- Valid UK driving license (desirable).
