Tendencys Innovations is a prominent independent consultancy specializing in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, RPA, and DevOps in the UK. Our talented teams of consultants and engineers deliver innovative solutions that empower our clients to produce high-quality software more efficiently and frequently.

In light of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to enhance our delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an Automation discovery and proof of concept for comprehensive testing through desktop client User Interface.
  • Evaluate the current framework and scripts (developed by Microsoft) and collaborate with the client to establish automation goals and the necessary framework/tooling as the desktop client evolves into a web-based platform.
  • The anticipated tool for this phase is Playwright.
  • Subsequent phase: Implement and operationalize an automation factory, initially focusing on automating approximately 500 User Acceptance Testing regression scripts for the organization.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous consultancy experience is required
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance due to client requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a highly technical Agile environment
  • Able to lead and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Strong foundation in technical software development
  • Proficient coding skills in Java or other programming languages
  • Extensive experience in integration testing
  • Skilled in test planning and reporting
  • Proven experience in developing automated test frameworks for RESTful APIs and related tools (e.g., RestAssured, JsonPath, Jackson, etc.)
  • Confident in working with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
  • Experienced in creating automated test frameworks for Front End web applications and relevant tools (e.g., Cucumber, Webdriver)
  • Proficient in industry-standard Java tools such as Maven and Spring
  • Experienced in automating database access from Java (e.g., using Hibernate, JPA, etc.)
  • Familiar with Jenkins, Git/GitLab, Jira, Confluence
  • Confident in testing within a microservices architecture and utilizing mocking libraries like WireMock
  • Working knowledge of non-functional testing
  • Must be eligible or possess valid SC clearance
