Job Overview

UHBW Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics to join our team. As a leading National Trauma Centre, we provide acute services to a large population and are recognized for providing good and outstanding patient-centred care.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with world-class foot and ankle surgeons who specialize in elective and trauma foot and ankle surgery. Our department consists of 24 Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons with a wide range of subspecialty teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering outpatient clinics and carrying out surgical procedures in Foot and Ankle services.
  • Participating in research and audit related to Foot and Ankle.
  • Working as part of the wider T&O team to provide general T&O inpatient, trauma, elective and on-call duties.

The successful Fellow will be given active support with clinical research and will be expected to present and publish this work as appropriate.

Requirements
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Previous training within Orthopaedics at registrar level to at least year 4.
  • Evidence and ability to communicate and liaise effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Competent to work without direct supervision where appropriate.
