Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Printed. As a key member of our data-driven organization, you will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Model Development:
  • Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
  • Utilize Python and SQL for data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and validation.
  • Experiment with various algorithms and techniques to enhance model accuracy and performance.
Data Analysis and Feature Engineering:
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract insights and identify trends that inform model development.
  • Engineer and select features that improve model performance, ensuring relevance and robustness.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to guarantee that clean, well-structured data is available for model training and evaluation.
Model Deployment Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Senior Data Engineer to prepare models for production, ensuring they meet all criteria for deployment within the data platform.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure that the necessary infrastructure and pipelines are in place to support machine learning initiatives.
  • Leverage the project management team to coordinate project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, allowing you to focus on technical excellence.
Evaluation and Monitoring:
  • Implement ongoing evaluation processes to monitor the performance of deployed models, ensuring they remain effective and relevant.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for model improvements and adapt to changes in data or business needs.

Requirements:

Experience:

  1. 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven ability to develop and deploy machine learning models in a production environment.
  2. Expertise in Python (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and SQL.
  3. Familiarity with AWS cloud services, particularly those relevant to data science and machine learning.

Skills:

  1. Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation techniques, and statistical analysis.
  2. Proficiency in data wrangling, feature engineering, and developing scalable machine learning solutions.
  3. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a data-driven team environment.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with AWS and Databricks.
  2. Familiarity with big data tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
  3. Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
