Responsibilities
As a Structural Analysis Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to conduct Finite Element analyses and produce analytical stress reports related to Aerospace Systems (including satellite panels, structural assemblies, and ground support equipment).
Key responsibilities include:
• Comprehend and analyze the stress analysis workflow as defined by the client, which may involve static and dynamic analysis along with specific post-processing tools.
• Execute Finite Element analysis in all aspects:
• modify or adapt geometries;
• develop or update models with the appropriate level of idealization and boundary conditions;
• perform verification and validation activities;
• conduct simulations (static, dynamic, vibrations...);
• perform post-processing and analysis of results.
• Carry out analytical stress calculations using established methods and tools.
• Present and report progress and findings, both internally and externally.
• Draft technical reports.
• Collaborate with designers regarding structural results and design modifications.
• Maintain direct working relationships with clients and represent your work during client discussions.
Candidate Profile
• A degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline, preferably Mechanical.
• Experience in stress engineering within the aerospace sector.
• Proficiency in using HYPERWORKS and NASTRAN for FE modeling and analysis.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet client requirements.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• A collaborative team player, capable of working effectively under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to communicate and report at various levels.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of verbal and written English.

Security Clearance Requirements
To be successfully appointed to this role, you will need to undergo security checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions; however, if you have lived outside the UK in the last three years, additional checks may be necessary.
Other criteria and checks are required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions regarding your security clearance eligibility, including but not limited to your country of residence and nationality.
