Job Title: Apprentice Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Design Engineer to join our team at Parker Meggitt. As a key member of our Mechanical Design Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative composite structures for the aerospace industry.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or aerospace engineering and experience in the design and certification of composite structures. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our customers' requirements are met and that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop composite structures using 3D CAD software.
  2. Work collaboratively with our project team to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Requirements
  1. Education to degree/HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  2. Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  3. Familiarity with aerospace composite design methodologies and best practices.
  4. Proficiency in the use of CAD systems, preferably CATIA V5.
  5. Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
