Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Paediatric Assessment Unit team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of our young patients and their families.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of our team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience in a Paediatric setting, with a strong understanding of child development and family-centered care.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
