Job Title: Technical and Commercial Pricing Specialist

Location: Remote

Role Overview

The Technical and Commercial Pricing Specialist plays a crucial role in conducting pricing assessments for new requests for quotations (RFQs) and existing product assemblies. This position involves analyzing, interpreting, and calculating pricing based on customer Bill of Materials (BoM) and schematic data to facilitate the development of comprehensive sales proposals.

Additionally, the Specialist is tasked with managing a database of suppliers, brands, categories, and product types to ensure accurate and timely responses to RFQs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing scope of supply and customer specifications diligently.
  • Providing weekly updates on quotation progress.
  • Finalizing commercial tender evaluations.
  • Efficiently utilizing resources to maximize productivity.
  • Tracking and managing the quotation process effectively.
  • Collaborating with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Working alongside the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to enhance internal customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring milestone achievements in relation to the quotation tracker.
  • Assessing budget variances between completed quotations and initial job costs.

The Specialist must possess a solid understanding of business metrics and be committed to delivering results. They will report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the operational and financial objectives of the organization, including but not limited to:

  • Productivity rates exceeding 95%
  • Quality metrics above 99.5% for external and 97.2% for internal assessments
  • On-time delivery rates of 95%

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial estimating within the electrical manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient in creating and interpreting detailed customer BoMs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Capability to manage multiple tenders of varying complexities and stages.

The ideal candidate will have a proven history of efficiently processing and managing a substantial volume of commercial tender requests, ensuring timely and budget-compliant outcomes. They should be able to articulate how they have enhanced operational performance concerning:
