Widener University's Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies is seeking a dedicated Graduate Admissions Strategist to support prospective graduate, adult, and online learners.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Admissions and Enrollment to provide essential support throughout the recruitment process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and enhancing communication strategies to guide prospective students through the admissions journey.
  • Partnering with the University Relations marketing team to elevate Widener's brand presence.
  • Creating a strategic plan for events designed to attract potential graduate students.
  • Managing visit schedules for prospective students, both in-person and virtually.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing guidance to prospective students on program admissions and enrollment processes.
  • Assisting in the conversion of applicants into enrolled students.
  • Implementing strategies to streamline the admissions process for a positive student experience.
  • Coordinating admission reviews and interviews with faculty and program directors.
  • Maintaining accurate application information and communication with admitted students.
  • Contributing to enrollment growth and retention initiatives within the Graduate and Continuing Studies division.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in higher education or a related field.
  • Strong communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Canvas LMS.
  • Previous work experience in university admissions.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards for admissions.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is an office-based role with occasional travel requirements.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others and move between campus buildings.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary.
