The Maintenance and Projects Manager will lead maintenance operations and oversee capital projects to ensure the reliability of plant equipment and infrastructure. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and safety across the facility.

About the Role

As the Maintenance and Projects Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Scheduling and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring that maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Managing the maintenance budget and optimizing costs.
  • Planning, initiating, and overseeing industrial projects from conception to completion.
  • Developing project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Creating detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Identifying and selecting contractors for specialized maintenance and project work.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in maintenance management and project management roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, preventative maintenance strategies, and equipment reliability.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial maintenance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and with external contractors.
