We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Shared Services Partnership team as a Heat Decarbonisation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving our organization's commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving net-zero targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing projects and solutions to decarbonize heat, working closely with colleagues across the organization to develop and deliver a comprehensive heat decarbonization strategy. This will involve assessing commercial delivery models, engaging stakeholders, advising senior officers and councillors, and applying principles in a practical setting.
We are looking for someone with a passion for energy and climate issues, and a good knowledge and understanding of heat decarbonization, various types of heat pumps, and heat networks. The ideal candidate will have excellent quantitative skills, including data analysis, and be a fast learner with a willingness to continually develop and keep up to date with energy and heat decarbonization policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement heat decarbonization projects and solutions
- Work closely with colleagues to develop and deliver a comprehensive heat decarbonization strategy
- Assess commercial delivery models and engage stakeholders
- Advise senior officers and councillors on heat decarbonization matters
- Apply principles in a practical setting to drive heat decarbonization
