Department: Foundation
Location: King's Lynn
Hours: 30-37 per week, 36 weeks per year
Salary: £18,706 - £18, HOURS) / £15,167 - £15, HOURS) per annum
About the Role:
We are proud of the success of our Foundation learning provision, providing our learners with invaluable support to succeed in their chosen course - from pre-entry to Level 1. We recognize that all learners have differing needs, and our continued growth in student numbers pays testament to the high-quality support we provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a range of students both within and outside of the classroom
- Work with learners with Educational Health and Care Plans or recognized special educational needs in areas such as maths, English, art and design, sports, and sessions developing independent living skills
- Provide individualized support to learners with varying needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience of working with young people with special education needs, whether in or out of paid employment
- Previous experience as a Learner Support Officer or Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide individualized support to learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
