About the Role

Vida Healthcare presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and diligent patient support specialist to become part of our skilled team on either a part-time or full-time basis. This position involves covering shifts at various times between 8am and 6:30pm, divided into morning and afternoon sessions. The specific hours can be discussed during the interview process.

Comprehensive training will be provided to the selected candidate, who will have a primary base but will be required to work across multiple sites. It is crucial for the candidate to possess strong communication skills, be articulate and approachable, and demonstrate enthusiasm along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver a professional and efficient reception service to patients.
  • Facilitate telephone and in-person access for patients to schedule, modify, and verify appointments according to their requests, handling inquiries with composure and empathy while maintaining a high level of accuracy under pressure.
  • Assist patients who may encounter issues or express concerns.
  • Complete basic prescription administration training, ensuring that queries are addressed in the absence of prescription team members.
  • Engage in customer service processes and policies to uphold high standards of service for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in any training as directed by senior reception staff or management for personal and professional growth.
  • Undertake other relevant tasks, including projects, as agreed upon with senior reception staff.

  • Educated to GCSE level, with English as one of the passed subjects, or possess two years of relevant work experience.

  • Capability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Experience in a customer service setting.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Previous experience with SystmOne.

  • Experience working within the NHS or in a call center environment is preferred.
