Position: Lead Systems Engineer for Mission Solutions

Compensation: £47,683 – £51,948

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical guidance, supporting and/or spearheading the following tasks for mission systems within a collaborative engineering environment:
  • Concept Development
  • System Architecture
  • Requirements Analysis
  • Design Implementation
  • Testing Procedures
  • Safety Assessments
  • Cybersecurity Measures
  • Qualification and Certification Processes

Facilitate and lead team discussions, design reviews, and agile assessments. Mentor and guide junior Systems Engineers. Oversee the creation of engineering documentation integral to the Systems Engineering lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in systems engineering and the engineering lifecycle
  • Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and tools (e.g., UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, Matlab)
  • Experience in developing mission systems and relevant domain expertise

Desirable:

  • Experience working in an agile setting
  • Background in managing engineering teams
  • Strong presentation capabilities

About the Mission Systems Delivery Team: You will join the Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT), which is responsible for the Assessment Phase of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program. The team employs an agile work planning approach to develop mission system concepts, architectures, and designs for various components of a future combat air system.
