Position: Mechanical Engineering Instructor

Compensation: Starting from £41,997+, based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering instruction on advanced manufacturing courses, adhering to Apprenticeship standards and BAE Systems' educational delivery models, leveraging innovative ideas to enhance teaching methodologies.
  • Engaging in the creation of an inclusive blended learning strategy utilizing CANVAS as a platform to enrich curriculum delivery.
  • Contributing to the design, assessment, and evaluation of the curriculum while fostering a positive and impactful learning environment.
  • Preparing and grading assessments as necessary across various programs, providing constructive feedback to ensure swift progress in our Apprentices' development.
  • Integrating the teaching of mathematics and English throughout the curriculum.
  • Conducting performance reviews for Apprentices, ensuring high-quality goal setting to continuously enhance their skills, knowledge, and behaviors.
  • Generating comprehensive and timely reports on Apprentice progress, ensuring proactive monitoring and analysis of data.
  • Participating in Apprentice recruitment processes, including interviews, enrollment, induction, open days, and enrichment activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A mandatory teaching qualification (level 3) along with experience in developing blended learning resources and delivering content on a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
  • Experience in teaching Manufacturing and Engineering programs up to Level 4.
  • Knowledge in Mechanical Principles, Thermodynamics, Engineering Science, and Dynamics.
  • A collaborative team player capable of creating and sharing innovative and engaging blended teaching and learning resources.
