Job Title: Digital Project Officer

Counter Terrorism Policing is seeking a highly skilled Digital Project Officer to join our team. As a Digital Project Officer, you will play a critical role in passing data to Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) and using your skills to view and assess data from digital devices, which can then be used in investigations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Digital Media Exploitation Unit (DMEU), which focuses on exploiting all aspects of digital media. As a Digital Project Officer, you will identify, retrieve, assess, and produce evidence from a wide range of digital and video devices for Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • View and assess data from digital devices to support Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) investigations.
  • Identify, retrieve, and produce evidence from digital and video devices.
  • Assess material that may contravene the Terrorism Act (TACT) and include it in relevant website libraries and databases.
  • Provide officers with fast-track information for their investigations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need HTML and CSS web development skills, as well as full training in all kinds of viewing tools. You will also need to have a good understanding of digital media devices and structures, as well as data recovery techniques.
