Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and process purchase ledger invoices
  • Coding and checking invoices for accuracy
  • Matching invoices to delivery notes and obtaining authorization
  • Posting invoices to the purchase ledger and reconciling discrepancies
  • Resolving supplier disputes and queries in a timely manner
  • Collating and entering supplier payment details into SAP
  • Processing and confirming approval of supplier payment runs
  • Reconciling the purchase ledger to supplier statements on a monthly basis
  • Processing staff expenses and reconciling company credit cards
  • Implementing and maintaining strong financial control processes
  • Maintaining energy and fuel usage spreadsheets

We are looking for a candidate with a positive and professional attitude, relevant experience in a similar environment, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player, committed to task completion, and have a good working knowledge of Excel.

Education and Communication Requirements

The successful candidate will be literate and numerate, with clear communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the business.
