Role Summary
As a Paramedic Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will leverage your clinical background to evaluate how individuals' disabilities or health conditions influence their daily activities. You will engage with a variety of complex cases, including both physical and mental health challenges, and your empathetic approach will assist clients in navigating their circumstances.
This position is designed to be both fulfilling and demanding, which is why we offer a comprehensive training program tailored to your success. You will undergo an initial training period followed by continuous support and mentorship as you transition into your assessment role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments via telephone, video, or in-person to evaluate the impact of health conditions on daily living.
- Generate Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining benefit eligibility.
- Enhance your clinical knowledge and assessment capabilities through regular feedback and supervision.
Qualifications
- Current HCPC registration number.
- Minimum of one year of diverse post-registration experience, either within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust.
- Must possess the right to work in the UK; sponsorships are not available.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer software for detailed report writing.
