Essential Requirement: A valid UK driving licence is mandatory.

Client Support Needs:


• Support for complex autism and learning disabilities, including sensory processing challenges and behavioral difficulties such as rigidity and obsessions.
• Assistance with non-verbal communication and related challenges.
• Management of seizures and medication.

Our client is a young adult in his early 20s, currently living with family, and we aim to foster his independence as he transitions to his own residence. He has limited speech and utilizes a Total Communication Approach. He enjoys community outings, including walks and activities like bowling and trampolining, which can be challenging but are essential for his desire to lead a varied and meaningful life.

Ideal Candidate Profile:


• Confident and decisive, capable of making prompt decisions when necessary.
• Extensive experience in autism, complex communication needs, and sensory processing challenges.
• Possesses a good sense of humor and a fun approach to work.
• Attuned to changes in body language and emotional regulation, able to identify early signs that require immediate support.
• Supportive of the client's goals for a meaningful life and committed to facilitating scheduled activities.
• Willing to engage in physical activities such as long walks, bowling, and trampolining.
• Capable of driving the client's vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:


• Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring services meet required standards.
• Individualized Support: Deliver personalized assistance to the client, aiding in the development of essential life skills.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support a team of care workers.
• Collaborative Approach: Partner with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Continuous Development: Promote ongoing learning and improvement within the team.

Qualifications:


• Proven experience in a similar leadership role.
• Relevant training or qualifications, preferably in the learning disabilities sector.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create and implement individualized care plans.
