Position Overview:

AECOM is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing expert fire engineering solutions across diverse sectors within a client-oriented framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive fire engineering solutions from initial concept to project completion, utilizing advanced techniques such as CFD and evacuation modeling, while ensuring adherence to UK and international fire safety standards.
  • Oversee design projects and formulate fire safety strategies across various sectors, demonstrating a strong understanding of local regulations and international codes.
  • Innovate solutions for emerging challenges by adapting established procedures and methodologies.
  • Engage in collaborative reviews of project outputs with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in developing precise cost estimates for technical project efforts.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in fire engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience in a similar consultancy role or relevant industry experience within the UK or Middle Eastern markets.
  • Proven expertise in fire engineering across various sectors, with a focus on compliance with local and international standards.
  • Experience managing fire engineering components of small to medium-sized projects within set timelines and budgets.
  • Capability in preparing fee proposals and managing task variations related to fire engineering services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Fire Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional affiliation with the Institution of Fire Engineers or Engineering Council, with aspirations towards chartership.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers in project and team settings.
  • A documented history of professional development and continuous learning.
