About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support a disabled lady in her daily life. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks, providing companionship, and supporting the individual to maintain her independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as showering and dressing
  • Prepare meals and assist with food preparation
  • Undertake domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying
  • Support the individual to engage in local activities and appointments
  • Provide companionship and support, including going out for coffee
  • Assist with gardening tasks, including potting and container care
  • Drive the individual to appointments and activities, using a car with business class insurance

Requirements

  • Positive attitude towards disabled people
  • Reliable, punctual, and patient
  • Sensitive and non-judgmental
  • Flexible and able to work independently
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Business class insurance and a clean driving license

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will work on a flexible basis, with hours to be agreed in advance. The role will involve working at the individual's home, as well as accompanying her to local activities and appointments.

Pay and Benefits

The hourly rate for this role is £12.50, with additional pay for Bank Holidays worked. Mileage will be paid at 40p per mile when using your own car.
