Position Overview
Are you ready to elevate your career in the healthcare sector? The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Science Associate specializing as a Senior Cardiographer to enhance our Cardiac Physiology team.
Role Responsibilities
As a vital member of our cardio-respiratory department, you will engage in a variety of non-invasive cardiac assessments. Your primary focus will be on conducting ambulatory analyses and providing detailed reports, as well as assisting cardiac physiologists during exercise tolerance evaluations. We value flexibility and offer the possibility of remote work one day a week.
Key Duties Include:
- Performing a comprehensive range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG and ambulatory monitoring.
- Leading physiologist-led exercise tolerance tests and managing pacing and ICD follow-ups.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Cardiology Consultants and specialist nurses.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities in respiratory diagnostics and spirometry.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the SCST Certificate or Diploma in ECG, or a Level 4 Healthcare Science Apprenticeship in cardiology, alongside a minimum of two years of experience in a cardiographer role. You should demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
