Join Our Team as a Specialist Children's Physiotherapist Band 6

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team as a Specialist Children's Physiotherapist Band 6. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and enthusiastic team, providing high-quality care to children with musculoskeletal concerns.

About the Role

As a Specialist Children's Physiotherapist Band 6, you will be responsible for working within the Physiotherapy Departments, as required by the service, with therapy colleagues and the wider MDT in meeting the needs of children who require physiotherapy assessment and treatment.

You will perform advanced physiotherapy assessments of children, including those with diverse and complex presentations/multi-pathologies, and use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition and to deliver an individualised treatment programme.

You will provide a high standard of physiotherapy care and undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

Requirements
  • Professional Physiotherapy Qualification (Diploma / Degree).
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including attendance at recent post graduate courses relevant to musculoskeletal practice.
  • Completed broad range junior band 5 rotations including core rotations, (respiratory, orthopaedics, trauma, out-patient Musculo-skeletal (MSK), neurology) or currently working as a band 6 in MSK.
  • Experience of working within a physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of audit, current policy and outcome measure.
  • Evidence of special interest in MSK and orthopaedic care.
  • Understand the legal responsibilities of the profession.
  • Competent IT skills and ability to keep legible and accurate notes in English.
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance and the implications for physiotherapy.
