Job Title: Business Operations Specialist

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Business Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clean water network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate complex planned and reactive technical activities to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimal customer impact.
  • Complete CP1 & 2 and support confined space entries/works.
  • Act as the main point of contact for any emergency works required in your area and ensure that contractors are working safely and in compliance with business procedures.
  • Plan and team up with our delivery partners to deliver asset maintenance activity.
  • Provide technical support to conclude solutions to problems and ensure a robust, stable, and efficient network.
  • Deliver event crisis management plans, minimising service interruptions and impact on Thames Water customers.
  • Work alongside the field teams and customer solution centre to identify the cause of complex/difficult problems and find a suitable resolution.
  • Contractor auditing ensuring that all works are being completed to the Thames Water standards and in line with compliance.
  • Provide information on required maintenance and improvement and assist with contingency planning.
  • Report back to the business the performance of your region, highlighting any high risks to the business.
Requirements:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be fully proficient at using the appropriate Company IT systems and office software.
  • Previous experience within the Water Industry, ideally on water networks would be beneficial.
  • Delivering customer excellence through network delivery.
  • Have previous working experience working and managing the activity of third-party contractors.
  • Be able to demonstrate good business/stakeholder awareness, jointly with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving and strong teamwork and influencing skills.

  • A competitive salary of up to £43,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • A car allowance on top.
  • Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
