Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled General Casualty Underwriter to join our UK team in London. As a key member of our General Casualty, UK team, you will contribute to the growth and development of our General Casualty business across all relevant distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and build-out of General Casualty, UK, focusing on profitable growth
  • Establish and expand broker and customer relationships
  • Underwrite Primary and Excess accounts, ensuring thorough analysis and documentation
  • Maintain a profitable renewal book
  • Effectively communicate BHSI's value proposition
  • Represent the company with integrity and leadership in the marketplace

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Casualty Underwriting experience
  • Strong underwriting acumen and analytical skills
  • Existing broker and customer relationships or the ability to develop strong relationships quickly
  • Experience with policy forms and commercial insurance products
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including negotiation and presentation experience
