Job Summary:
Investigo is seeking a highly skilled Category Executive to join our team. As a Category Executive, you will be responsible for managing a team of 2 and overseeing the procurement of waste management services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all waste management activities are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Target Achievement: Accountable for delivering agreed targets and objectives related to waste management.
- Category Review: Conduct strategic category reviews with the line manager to identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and service level enhancement.
- Long-term Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for waste management categories.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage annual budgets for waste management categories and reforecast monthly.
- Supplier Management: Manage ongoing supplier relationships at a senior level, establishing and maintaining strategic relationships to maximize efficiencies and value.
- Team Support: Provide coaching and support to less experienced team members and deputize for the Head of Procurement as needed.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of cross-category or cross-functional projects related to supplier issues.
Requirements:
- Procurement Experience: Proven experience in procurement, particularly in the waste management category.
- Management Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience is essential.
