Senior Financial Manager

About the Role:
The Random House Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Rights Revenue team, you will be responsible for leading a medium to large team in an accounting function and ensuring high service levels, continuous improvement, and change management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of financial professionals in processing rights sales contracts, statements, and income, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with the Royalty Department Manager to improve communication with other departments and build effective business relationships.
- Identify opportunities for improving working practices and business systems, and implement changes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Reconcile rights cash incoming and cleared on a daily basis, and investigate any issues.
- Review outstanding cash and statements with the Team Leaders to assist in query resolution.
- Work closely with the Rights Audit Analyst to identify and contact customers for audit, provide support for re-calculation/data issues, and liaise with customers for queries.
- Carry out performance reviews for direct reports, coordinate training and personal development, and manage absence and welfare.
- Assist in improving processes and procedures, and take an active role in any other initiatives or projects within the department and company.
Requirements:
- Significant experience leading a medium to large team in an accounting function.
- Excellent people skills and communication is a requirement of this role to be able to collaborate and influence at all levels.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improving working practices and business systems, and implement changes to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize workload and that of the team to ensure deadlines and targets are met.
