About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Ledger/Billing Clerk to join our team at Brebners Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger and billing process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of client invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Billing and Sales Ledger Management: Process and manage client invoices, payments, and credit notes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Client Communication: Respond to client queries and concerns regarding bills and payments, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly statements, reports, and close-down procedures to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Administrative Support: Assist staff with billing queries, reports, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • System Management: Maintain and update accounting systems, including STAR and NAVISION, to ensure efficient and accurate data processing.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of billing experience and 3 years in a finance role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or a relevant degree, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
