Spinwell Global Limited is seeking an Operator for a significant role within the public sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate auxiliary machinery including cranes, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, LGVs, and fork lift trucks.
  • Conduct operational monitoring and oversight.
  • Perform routine inspections of plant, fire, and emergency systems, identifying anomalies and assisting in their resolution.
  • Prepare areas for radiation/contaminated work, including necessary radiological containment.
  • Manage operations in controlled environments with alpha or beta-gamma radiation, including decommissioning tasks.
  • Minimize and package radioactive materials safely.
  • Transfer hazardous materials to designated storage locations.
  • Engage in both routine and non-routine operational tasks, supporting plant enhancements and repairs as needed.
  • Carry out operational maintenance according to the established maintenance schedule.
  • Be prepared to work shifts as operational requirements dictate.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities associated with Management Appointments relevant to the position.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Fundamental skills in numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience and certification in operating fork lift trucks.
  • Trained in glovebox operations with experience in posting tasks.
  • Knowledge of plant operations with a mechanical focus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility to meet operational demands.
  • Proficient in operating overhead cranes.
  • Adhere strictly to documented procedures, ensuring compliance with quality systems in the facility.
