Building Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control Manager to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in North Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Building Control Manager on a 5-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the appointment of a Building Control Manager on a 5-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion.
  • Work closely with the Local Authority to ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.
  • Provide expert advice on building control matters, including construction projects and building safety.
  • Collaborate with the client to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.

Requirements:

  • Approved professional qualification relevant to the construction industry.
  • Registered with the Building Safety Regulator to work on residential and non-residential construction projects within Class 2 categories A, B, C, D, E, and F, and Class 3 category G and H construction projects.
  • Significant post-qualification practical experience in building control surveying roles within professional practice, private sector building control bodies, or Local Government.
  • Valid driving license and own transport or alternative suitable method of travel.

  • The successful candidate must be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
