About the Role
Vox Network Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Control Manager to lead our Building Control team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all building work within our jurisdiction meets the requirements of building control legislation and the building regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical advice and guidance to our team on building safety, building regulations, and land charges regulatory issues.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to building control and land charges.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that all building work within our jurisdiction complies with building control legislation and the building regulations.
- Investigate and enforce breaches of the building regulations, including serving Stop and Contravention Notices.
- Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of building inspectors and control officers.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our team meets the requirements of the Building Safety Regulator.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including building owners, developers, and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with other departments within Vox Network Consultants to ensure that our building control services are integrated with other business functions.
Requirements
- Membership of MRICS, CABE, or similar professional bodies.
- Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in a building control environment, preferably with management experience.
- Strong knowledge of building control legislation and the building regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
