Lead Systems Engineer

AWE is seeking skilled Systems Engineers to become part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team engaged in a variety of tasks ranging from systems engineering on our primary warhead products to implementing systems thinking throughout our organization.
We offer excellent opportunities to join the Warhead Systems Engineering Group, which is responsible for providing systems engineering support to various projects, programs, and portfolios across our enterprise.
We are establishing new requirements engineering capabilities in critical business sectors, including our Programme Management Office and weapon delivery initiatives.
Multiple positions are available, supporting both enterprise-level operations and more technical roles at the project level.
The responsibilities include:
- Developing and utilizing tools and techniques for impact analysis and assessments
- Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to define the solution space
- Creating high-quality technical documentation, presentations, and project artifacts as required by Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and project execution
Ideally, candidates will have experience in requirements gathering at the product, project, or capability levels; however, we offer opportunities for retraining.
This position is office-based due to the classification of work, with some potential for hybrid working arrangements.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Stakeholder collaboration and inclusion
- Data analysis and technical report composition
- Gathering and developing requirements for complex projects or systems
- Formulating, customizing, and documenting requirements management processes and procedures at both enterprise and project levels
- Implementing requirements management in conjunction with Model-Based Systems Engineering frameworks, methodologies, and tools
