1. Overview of the Department
The Boys Academy Department has achieved the esteemed category one status, showcasing our commitment to delivering exceptional coaching, education, training, and facilities for youth football.
To sustain our ambitious vision for identifying, nurturing, and developing talent, we are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Coach to join our dedicated team within the Youth Development Phase.
2. Role Responsibilities
This position involves working within the Youth Development Phase program, focusing on the development of players aged 15-16. Responsibilities include planning, preparing, organizing, managing, and evaluating training sessions in alignment with the Academy Performance Plan.
As a Coach in the Boys Academy, you will provide constructive feedback to both parents and players, and participate in information evenings as needed. You will collaborate with the Performance Analysis Team to ensure regular recording of games and feedback sessions, while also working closely with Medical and Sport Science staff to manage injuries and conduct sports science assessments.
3. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess at least a UEFA B Licence and FA Youth Award qualification. A current FA Emergency First Aid in Football (EMFAIF) certification is essential, along with proven experience in planning, delivering, and monitoring elite football programs. Experience working with elite young players and the ability to communicate effectively are crucial. Proficiency in technology platforms used for planning, delivery, and evaluation is also required.
A UEFA A Licence and FA Advanced Youth Award qualifications are preferred. Familiarity with EPPP Academy operations and an understanding of EPPP regulations would be advantageous.
