An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified actuary to join The Emerald Group's Retirement team, which focuses on Individual annuities and ERM lines of business.

  • Location: Remote (with occasional travel to London)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support technical pricing by analyzing the Retirement market and providing data-driven insights
  • Analyze large datasets and contribute to the development of pricing strategies
  • Liaise with investment teams to discuss business projections and ensure suitable strategic asset allocation
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Performance on reinsurance development for individual annuities
  • Manage stakeholders to progress commercial initiatives and drive business growth
  • Stay up-to-date with industry issues and developments to ensure business processes and strategies align with industry best practices
  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory regime
  • Familiarity with individual annuity market and products
  • Understanding of capital modeling and profit testing
  • Excellent communication skills (able to communicate technical issues to senior stakeholders, including non-actuaries)
